A little trout, a little Adam

Brown Trout

Friday I went fishing with my friend Adam from work.  We knew it would be windy so we planned for everything. I brought my canoe and trolling motor in case the wind wasn't bad. We both brought rods for trout and bass. Between us, we had ten rods in my car.

It was windy so we decided to go trout fishing from shore. We found trout in a little mudhole that shouldn't be stocked. The trout were tiny browns. The average size was a pitiful seven inches. They were plentiful though and between us we caught seventeen.

After lunch, we went out in the canoe and fished the lee side of the shore line. I had a couple pickerel hits but didn't land any on an unweighted plastic worm and spinnerbait. Adam did well catching four pickerel and a bass. He wanted a photo of the bass.

Don't worry, I made
fun of Adam's hat

All in all, I had a great time. I got to test out new equipment I bought over the winter, I caught plenty of trout and I had fun fishing with Adam.
