Photos of the Day

Just when I thought I was done going to Napatree until the fall, two rare birds show up yesterday afternoon.So I left the house at 6 am hoping to see them.  The rarer of the two birds is a Curlew Sandpiper. I saw it and took a couple pictures from a distance in the fog. The other bird, seen below, are Black Skimmers. They feed by flying low to the water with their lower beak skimming the surface picking up small fish. Really a cool bird.
